The local committee members, in particular Mai-day have put together the following useful information which could prove particularly handy for first time visitors to Leeds.

Google Map

Visit the Uncon Google map to get an overview of some of the key locations we will be visiting during the weekend. This includes the main venue, the Saturday night restaurants, bus and train stations, and Leeds City Library, as well as a selection of hotels, car parks, and shopping opportunities.

The Electric Press

The Carriageworks Theatre is in a complex called The Electric Press. As well as the theatre there are a number of bars and restaurants in the complex.  For more information visit the Electric Press website.

For those coming to Leeds by car here are a couple of car parks which are more reasonable than most:

Woodhouse Lane: This is a council run car park and is around 10 minute walk from the Carriageworks. Visit the car park website here.

  • Up to 2 hours £2
  • Up to 3 hours £3
  • Up to 4 hours £4
  • Up to 12 hours £5
  • Up to 14 hours £6
  • Up to 24 hours £10
  • Up to 48 hours £20

Leeds Station long stay car park: This is on the other side of the city centre, but still only about 10-15 minutes walk from the venue.  It is cheaper than Woodhouse Lane, but it really depends where people are staying as to which is most convenient for them

Night hours (18:00 to 06:00) £4.50.  Customers must arrive after 18:00 and leave before 06:00, Monday to Friday. Weekend overnight parking is included in the £4.50 per day tariff.

Saturday – full day or part there of £4.50.
Sunday – full day or part there of £4.50.

Open all the time
Open 24 hours a day – 7 days a week.
