Alaric Hall

The final speaker to be confirmed for this year’s Unconvention line-up is Dr. Alaric Hall.

Alaric is a lecturer in the University of Leeds School of English, with a special interest in Medieval English Literature. More recently his interest has extended to the Middle Ages in Scandinavia, and both medieval and modern languages in this region of Europe.

Alaric is a prolific academic author, with a large selection of published journal articles, book chapters, and other publications, including his 2009 published book about Elves in Anglo-Saxon England. A large proportion of his work focuses around elves, and for the Unconvention Alaric will talk about Tolkien and his links to Leeds (with no doubt some elves thrown in). It promises to be a very entertaining presentation!
